Putting Tournament: DePuma is DeChamp

Most Fridays we have a short game practice to cap the week. They are usually pretty short as we normally play 18 holes on Saturday. This week we had a putting tournament. The format was nine hole matches and the losers were banished to wedge green. In the end, Stephen beat ELG 1 up.

Alex over Felipe
                               Stephen over Alex
Stephen over Austin
                                                               Stephen over ELG
ELG over Blake
                               ELG over TY
TY over Reddi

A full green with the four matches going.

And then there were two.

Eleven hours in a van...

We spent about eleven hours in the van for our trip to and from Tyler, TX. While guys spent a good portion of that time catching up on some much needed sleep, they did get some work done. Below is a list of books that were read, studied or reviewed and the corresponding class. Oh yeah, and the team got treated to an outstanding vocal performance from an up and coming artist out of the McLean residence hall.

Animal Farm- Peoples of Russia
Flight- American Modern Literature
A History of Modern Europe- Early Modern Europe
Fundamentals of Thermodynamics- Digitial Logic Design
Applied Statistics for Engineers and Scientists- Statistics
Chemistry Principles and Reactions- General Chemistry
Statistics and Dynamics- Structural Dynamics

Al Jones Memorial

We played some really good golf in stretches taking 3rd of 12 teams. As usual, The Cascades proved to be a great test and really identified a few spots in our games that can use some improvement. I am looking forward to seeing some of these teams at our home event in a couple of weeks.

3 Trinity University 307 300 607
5 Kalen Vos 78 69 147
T 11 Alex Hartzell 77 74 151
T 22 Tyler Lehmann 74 80 154
T 26 Austin Jung 78 78 156
T 33 Eric Redeker 79 79 158

We took third out of 12 teams.
Kalen had the low round of the tournament and took 5th.
